The end of the school year is almost here and many workshops are ending today. We still have a lot of workshops that will continue until May 30th: Geometry, Algebra 1, Life Science, Economics, Kindness, Skills for Success, Algebra 2, Algebra A, Creative Writing, and Pre-Algebra. We are asking parents and students to complete the Workshop evaluation form for any of the workshops that were taken since January. Please complete one form for each workshop. This information helps us know what is working, what isn't, and how we can improve what is being offered to the students. Thank you for your time and input. Dear Mountain Oak Families,


It is the end of another great year, hopefully, full of learning and fun! With the close of the year brings time to return or renew your Library materials and your Chromebooks.


By the end of the school year, June 7th, please bring all checked-out Library materials and Chromebooks back to the SA Library or Site that you checked them out from. If you would like to keep things over the summer that is no problem, but we need eyes on all items before we can renew them.


This helps us keep an accurate inventory and know what materials we need to replace due to wear and tear.


If you need your Chromebook over the summer for coursework, the Chromebook will also need to be brought in to be inspected and for the new school year contract to be signed. Please note: any Chromebooks not returned or renewed by June 7th will be locked.


If you have a circumstance that will prevent you from making it into the site and renewing your material, please contact your mentor teacher or one of the library staff and they will explain the process for remote renewal in that situation.

As some of you know I have decided to retire this year.

The decision has been made easier by knowing that beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, Mountain Oaks will be in the caring and capable hands of our new Administrator.

Graduation is right around the corner. The 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 6th at 6 PM at the Mountain Oaks Gymnasium in San Andreas. Graduates need to be at the school by 4:00 PM on graduation day for photos and rehearsal. Graduates and their families should consider the significance of the event and dress accordingly. Therefore, graduates should not come in shorts or ripped jeans.

Families may purchase Graduation Photos. Photos will be taken by Amber Pappe Photography and will include an individual 5x7 photo of the graduate, 5x7 class photo and a 5x7 photo of them receiving their diploma. The cost is $30.00. Checks or Money Orders should be made payable to: Amber Pappe Photography.

We encourage each family to submit 1 baby photo of their 8th-grade graduate for the yearbook before May 31st. You may bring the photos into the front office to be scanned or you can email them to [email protected].

Last year, several of our students participated in a class that culminated in the launching of a high-altitude balloon. We are excited to report that our balloon is performing far beyond our expectations! It has been aloft for 167 days and has made 8 orbits around the earth. We are very grateful to Mr. Gracevich and his team for inviting Mountain Oaks students to participate in this interactive and fascinating educational experience.
